she always sat still, tired of the slate gray walls and stale air surrounding her from sunrise to sunset. but the patient, her patience wearing thin, felt her heart smile when she was - at long last - released from that lethargic life of little more than supplementary pills, painkillers, pharmaceuticals; the faded pink bed sheets that barely sank beneath her weight at every hour of the day; and, in sheer awe, sighed as she felt the sun kiss her fingertips. she embraced the pulchritude of the skies above, and the robins taking flight, and was free from a care in a world that could be cold, yet compassionate.
